Yes newborn babies are slippery, there is a need to care for a premature baby in a timely manner and I put my baby on my hip shirt but come on let’s be realistic…. the baby was wrapped in a blanket when the employee grabbed the blanket and the baby fell out of it!! What if they nurse didn’t catch her?She would have ended up on the floor!!! This needs to be an educational opportunity for all who are in healthcare!Prayers for baby and family!

Yeah premature infants are prone to brain bleeds… less likely at that I put my baby on my hip shirt…. likely if dropped on your head though… blaming the baby haha wow our world can be a solid joke. Apologize and prepare to pony up to any future medical needs (if needed). Yes you have to move fast if you’re suspecting distress, but it’s a balance! Every professional in that room is also trained or should have been trained in controlled speed. Even here in the good ole “slower lower” they pound control into your head! Freshly birthed babies have always been born “slippery” since the history of time! Not. An. Excuse. Period!
