I am actually excited about this! After watching Sonic last year, I realized how much I missed Jim’s comedies even if they are made for children. They will always be remembered. I would love to see him play the character again and I don’t understand why people wouldn’t want to. It could be horrible, it doesn’t make the first two movies any less legendary.And for what it’s worth a lot of the first two films were dependent on how he played it so I think it has a good chance of being better than dumb and dumber to (in which the first film was cleverly written and the second was less so).

To me, cancel culture doesn’t exist as many people think it exist. The only people that ever lose their spotlight are awful people (Alex Jones, The gay alt right guy, kevin spacey and Weinstein). Many people hate Woody Allen and it wasn’t until last year that artists started to detach themselves from promoting his work. Polanski is still getting awards and working with top actors. The rest are just random times of hate happening on social media because their algorithms promote it.

Again because the algorithms of social media promote conflict. News media facebook pages accomplish their reach goals because engagement augments reach. Engagement is provided by random people fighting in the comments and sharing the post. Facebook/twitter/ig are fine with this because engaged people spend more time in the app which leaves ad spots open which means less competition for media buyers and more ad spending.
