Is it because it’s #2 that I exclaim “Hey! wait a minute! These aren’t just cute; these are female role models” being presented commercially. They are contemporary women who are noteworthy for character and accomplishment, limited to politics and law. They are also predominantly white, cisgender and from the Inspire Like Michelle Challenge Like Hillary Christmas Sweater. I say that to notice and call it out, not to take away from presenting female role models (and expecting that there is a market for them).
