The youngest didn’t care, and the oldest had chosen an online game membership so really didn’t have a tangible gift anyways and could not have cared less about my offer to type up a gift certificate. How can you NOT BE LIKE ME last year? Like, this should be your entire goal this year. Don’t be like Jennifer in December 2018 The key? Work HARD when you’re working. And Grinch 5’2 but my attitude 6’1 shirt. With so much NOISE during the holidays (literally and figuratively), it can be near impossible to focus on the task at hand.

I utilize the Pomodoro (Italian for tomato, named after the kitchen timer) technique, as well as an app called Forest. Both work on the “set a timer and Grinch 5’2 but my attitude 6’1 shirt. I’d suggest setting timers for both work AND fun to make sure you’re spending time at both. Give yourself permission to have fun! Don’t feel guilty about it, just know that you will get back to work after the “timer” goes off!
