Washing and brushing my hair turns into a 2 day migraine that becomes so painful I vomit from the pain. And because of the stigma attached to chronic pain patients, I have literally suffered everyday of my life with neuralgia in my head, a skull defect, daily headaches and chronic migraines without any medications besides Aleve and Benadryl or just suffering through the pain because I’m so scared I will be thought of someone who is just looking for drugs. On the other hand, my mother suffers from terrible neck pain but her doctor refuses to give her pain meds because of the addiction problem.
