I think what we need is a prequel to the first movie called something like “Cactus don’t touch me shirt, The Life of Toothless,” where it basically shows Toothless’s life from the day he hatched (I guarantee he was the cutest baby), to growing up, to figuring out how to survive, and everything else that happened up until the night he was shot down by Hiccup.

I thought Hidden World was better than 2. Keep in mind I also love Cactus don’t touch me shirt, but I thought 2 had pacing issues that the original and Hidden World did not have with the flashbacks. They kind of just visually come in and exit a scene so quickly that was operating fine by itself so in 2, the flashbacks seems a bit unneeded and it would have been stronger if we just heard Stoick or Valka tell their stories without seeing it right visuals there.

On top of that, I thought the Hidden World gave the Cactus don’t touch me shirt more to do with Tuffnut interacting with Hiccup more, Ruffnut taking the piss out of Grimmel, and the gang fighting as a group way more, where as in 2, they were mostly just going about their own adventure (which was still good) but they were also stuck with the same joke that Snotlout and Fishlegs were fighting over Tuffnut again and again. Astrid also had more to do in Hidden World and actually severely aided in Hiccup’s realization and overall arc in a way she did in the first one.
