In a show of unity, the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, and Houston Rockets have joined forces to support relief efforts following the devastating July 4 floods in Texas’ Hill Country. The disaster tragically claimed at least 129 lives, leaving countless families and communities in need.
As part of the campaign, all three teams are selling “Texas Strong” T-shirts, with 100% of the $30 proceeds going directly to the Texas Sport for Healing Fund. This initiative ensures that funds reach those impacted by the floods, helping families recover and rebuild.
During the 2025 NBA Summer League game between the Mavericks and Spurs at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, players honored the victims by wearing the benefit shirts during the national anthem. The shirts serve as a symbol of resilience and solidarity across Texas, showing that the state’s basketball franchises are committed to making a difference both on and off the court.
