The Orlando Magic are preparing to redefine their look for the first time in more than a decade. According to multiple sources, the franchise will debut new logos and uniforms this summer, delivering the most significant update to their identity since the 2008–09 season.
The rebrand pays homage to the Magic’s roots while embracing a modern edge. Expect to see a return to the team’s classic 1989–98 aesthetic, complete with pinstripes and sharp trim, now paired with a sleeker wordmark and updated number font.
Orlando has dabbled in retro-inspired designs before. Their current uniforms feature curved pinstripes and bold side panels—elements that faded in prominence after Nike assumed the NBA’s apparel contract in 2017. This time, however, the approach appears more faithful to the original vision.
The team’s logo history also plays a role in the redesign. Since 2010, the Magic have showcased a wordmark fused with their iconic ball-and-stars emblem, a symbol that first debuted in 2000. While the new branding is expected to keep that celestial imagery front and center, subtle refinements will align it with the updated typography.
The official reveal is expected ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 25–26, setting the stage for a fresh era of Magic basketball.
