your anxiety is lying to you shirts
I don’t see your anxiety is lying to you shirts as racist unless it is saying something along the lines of “only support black businesses” I don’t see how saying to generally support them is racist against other races or towards black people. Is making a statement about skin to describe something racist either, I think not. Yo me, wouldn’t a person just go to a black owned business and if they like what they got, then maybe support. Yeah I think it could be racist of they SOLELY went over to support the business just cuz the owner is black and no other reason.
Best your anxiety is lying to you shirts
I’m coming at your anxiety is lying to you shirts from a slightly different perspective, but I think this might be relevant. I think the main target for the phrase “Support black businesses” are black consumers. I’m sure people of all backgrounds and races have heard it but as a black woman I normally hear it in the context of black people empowering their own communities as a counter to some of the racism and or disadvantage that black business owners face. For example, black women contribute largely to the hair care industry and the largest manufacturer’s (L’Oreal, Garnier, etc.) barely even cater to our demographic. So black women are thoroughly encouraged to shop from black brands, to make sure our money goes toward building up brands by us and for us, so that we can be represented in the market. I know that doesn’t cover everything but I thought I’d just add something to what all the top comments are saying.
