Sticking to that same subject for a moment. If we think about Witch I Like People Under General Anesthesia Halloween T shirt and the logic vs the “privileged” thoughts, why would any person in their right mind not want them to be able to have a TV or some music as long as they purchase it themselves? Wait, wait you would rather them have more time on their hands? More time to think, possibly plot? Trust me my TV became my best friend. It kept me out of the drama and I may have even learned a thing or two. So freaking what a prisoner might get to watch Duck Dynasty or Property Brothers, why there’s nothing worse!! Come on people. As far as music, I’ve seen the flip of a power button take a person from 10 to 1 instantly. Music can be a calming sort of therapy so to speak for an angry inmate. I know that there were times a situation would have continued to escalate and turn bad had it not have been for music. We don’t look at prison as being fun because we can buy our own stuff. Trust me the loss of freedom, family, all that comes with incarceration can’t be made right by some television shows, songs or microwave cookie cake. What we provide ourselves equals one less thing the state does.

I kind of agree with you in one sense, OP. If some macho man makes a point to be like, “Oh, you found scary? I was laughing at it the whole time”! Then yeah, fuck that dude, he’s just putting the movie and the listener down for no real good reason. That bothers me as well. But then there is another way to “laugh at horror”. I love Witch I Like People Under General Anesthesia Halloween T shirt, personally. I think campiness in movies is the most honest a story can get. When I watch a campy movie, I feel the human touches all over it. It stops feeling like a production, like a product, like an elaborate lie, and starts feeling like something made by real people. Humans fuck up. We make mistakes. When the veil is sort of lifted on a movie through genuine (not faked) campiness, I feel a closer connection to that movie. It’s not a matter of laughing it, at that point. It becomes laughing it. I don’t enjoy the whole “let’s make fun of the hard work that tons of people put into making this thing!” That feels lazy and, frankly, insulting. But when you laugh with it, even if it wasn’t trying to make you laugh, that’s a different story.I saw the new Conjuring movie with my buddy the other day.
The US still has a tendency to favor extremes – and yes, Witch I Like People Under General Anesthesia Halloween T shirtare wealthy or well off, you can be much better off in the US than in Germany – but for the average Joe, living in Germany is much safer and most likely more comfortable than over there, because the low ceiling / standard of living guaranteed by the state is vastly higher. Not saying that living on Hartz 4 is a desireable life mind you – but you’ll still have a roof over your head, heat in winter, electricity/running hot and cold water, and (basic) food on your table as well as medical insurance. That’s true in Germany (although less so in other European countries), but it comes with its own problems. Germany has by far and away the largest proportion of renters to homeowners, but there is also a significant amount of wealth inequality between the people who do own property, and the people who don’t. Essentially, there is a persistent draining of wealth away from renters towards landlords that wouldn’t be present in the same way if people were able to buy houses from a relatively young age.
