Wirthit Roe your Vote Map shirt
This character was a hit with the other players primarily because I played it like some kind of Wirthit Roe your Vote Map shirt wood golem version of Abathur from Starcraft 2. It was focused purely on improvement; acquisition of new magics, acquisition of new schematics for articulation of joints or wood treatment processes to increase hardness of its blade hands, acquisition of political capital with those who had the resources and connections to provide further insight into how to self-improve, etc etc etc. This is why it was a rogue, after all. Assassination-for-hire can be lucrative and connect you with all of the right people. It was entirely indifferent to the plight of every living thing except: 1) Druids, as it maintained a deep and abiding affection for the druid that it had spent its first two centuries standing guardian over, 2) other Awakened creatures/plants, as it knew the pain and confusion that comes from being Rebirthed as a sentient object even when the Father-who-hath-Wrought-You is loving and kind, and 3) domestic house-cats, because it thought tiny fuzzy unstoppable murder factories were hilarious in concept and adorable in execution.
1: Let the players play and discover what they want: I was very stern in my young days. I had this one new player βVincentβ. He was new to the Wirthit Roe your Vote Map shirt and starting at first level. I thought the best thing was to do was solo him and get him to higher level so he could compare with the other characters that were already higher. I put him on a βcrash courseβ of solo level gaining, which was what I thought he needed. Long story short β he lasted one day. Looking back, I played how I wanted but not how he wanted. I never asked him what he wanted to do in the D&D game. Soloing is fine if thatβs what they want. Ask your players what they want to accomplish in the D&D world?β¦ Some players will want to tame a dragon. Some want to build a castle. Some players want to become a powerful Wizard and wield arcane spells. This all really depends. Find out what the players want, and see if you can entertain themβ¦ look! You find a Dragons egg! D&D has to be more about what the players want to do, and less about what the DM wants. Long term players are what fuel the game. Find out!

After the Technomancer gets revived and the last of the agents and real zombies go down, the Wirthit Roe your Vote Map shirt starts to realize that the DJ is totally in on this. One way or another theyβre running low on resources, and this canβt end until the DJ is disabled.
“The Fugitive” is an older man, Ben who plays with the local kids and Wirthit Roe your Vote Map shirt almost magical powers. Old Ben’s favorite of the children is Jenny. He carries Jenny home (she walks with a leg brace), where she lives with her abrasively unsympathetic aunt, Agnes Gann. As they approach the row house, Ben causes his roller skates to de-materialize. This phenomenon is observed by two men who are watching the house from across the street. They enter the apartment building, identify themselves as police, and question Agnes about Ben. Jenny overhears the conversation and limps upstairs to Old Ben’s apartment to warn him. Old Ben takes on the form of a mouse, fooling the men into thinking he has left his apartment.Jenny takes the “mouse” back to her room. Old Ben tells Jenny that he is an alien from another planet, and that his appearance is only a disguise, as he is a fugitive from justice. Old Ben says he must flee to another planet, but before departing he uses a strange device to heal Jenny’s leg. The two strangers run into Jenny walking down the stairs without her brace.
