I went from 95 kg to 67 kg over the last year (already achieved it after half a year but started Tampa Bay Buccaneers on to the next shirts more on gaining muscle than losing weight) and I have had a lot of days where I ordered some really disgustingly calorie packed Burger Menu or something. But when I did that it was the only thing I ate that day (or at least the vast majority). Of course macro nutrition matters to some extent but when it comes to losing weight the by far most important thing are simply the calories. Doesn’t matter how you fill them. Also people often say that sport isn’t as important as the diet when losing weight. But I think it’s equally important. The more active muscles you have in your body the better your digestion gets, which helps a lot when it comes to losing weight and not having it be a pain in the ass. For me after a month or so the weight losing was just a thing that happened and not so much something I had to focus on.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with skipping meals and the fact that Tampa Bay Buccaneers on to the next shirts seen as extreme is one of the reasons people are so fat. if you’re fat, skipping meals, short term fasting, and long term fasting are good for you, not bad. you’re not doing yourself any favors by constantly eating if you’re overweight, even if it’s “whole, unprocessed food”.human physiology is uniquely adapted to fasting compared to just about every other mammal in existence and we just completely throw the idea out of the window because we’ve been conditioned to believe that if you don’t eat for a day you’re “starving”. if you’re a healthy weight, it takes nearly two goddamn months to starve to death, you are not starving if you don’t eat for a day, or even two. a 48 hour fast is worth a larger calorie deficit for the average person than two weeks of daily exercise (roughly 14 one hour gym sessions), and most people do not even exercise every day. on the other hand, one large cheat meal a week can offset 4 days of daily exercise. oops.
