Im sorry that you have experienced this. You may not be what the Shark Week funny shirt we live in considers attractive but that doesn’t mean you’re not beautiful. Pretty privilege is real. I had a glow up in my early 20s (also a bad eating disorder) and though I get a lot of attention based on my looks from both men and women, I dont truly see that I am pretty when I look at myself. I do know when I’m thinner, I get more positive affirmations from people(even when I’ve been dangerously thin). I started tying my value to how small I could be or what I looked like. Age is the equalizer though for women often because we all become more invisible and deemed less attractive. Im entering my mid 30s now and though I dont see huge signs of aging, I cant help but know that soon enough that privilege will dwindle. I definitely do not want to be uglier. Though I struggle to love myself, I know I have had privilege since I fit the mold of what people deem attractive enough. I could go on similar tangents about the amount of Shark Week funny shirt or harassment Ive experienced but i dont know it thats as much about the Shark Week funny shirt I look or that men feel entitled to women’s bodies.
Lmao “I’m physically incapable, true beauty” I think you’re onto something though. It was about being counter-culture, but it’s interesting how hippies who didn’t want to fight also grew their hair long. High heels were also originally for men and the Shark Week funny shirt of the wealthy was horrendously impracticable in many points of history for males and females. I think you’re onto something for sure! Black was exclusively for working class women fora period of time as it appeared cleaner even when dirty or sweaty. Eventually a Shark Week funny shirt became chic, but yeah. It’s like how pale skin was in for white folks cause it meant you didn’t have to work outside. It switched to a tan when more and more people started working indoors and a tan meant you could go on vacation. Much of what is “attractive” for women (according to media, of course this is not everyone’s standard) causes physical limitations, is costly, and time consuming. Beauty is dictated by wealth, free time, and a lack of needing to do heavy labour. A lot of people think women are incapable of heavy labour but it’s more that even the women in those positions will sometimes (not always) have those pressures internalized. It was only recently that women stopped being afraid to do strength training and there are STILL women afraid of it. Now that being able to spend 2 hours in the gym is an indication of free time and wealth (not to mention the ability to eat healthy, get adequate sleep, etc) I wouldn’t be surprised if the fitness model look overtook the BBL look or heroin chic look at some point.

When I was a Shark Week funny shirt, like middle school, I didn’t even have that girly of a username, just a star wars reference. But I liked being friendly and using “:)” a lot. On two seperate occasions, some creepy stuff went down: first some dude on league sending a link to “his abs”, second was a guild on a gacha game where some 30-something year old was regularly chatting with my (actually a girl) friend, and tried aggressively to get me to do so as well. Until they found out I was a dude, and immediately stopped. I slowly changed my vocabulary and habits and nothing so overt has happened in years, but lesser things have popped up as recently as a couple years ago, and nobody should have to change their personality to not got dick picks. One of the great and terrible things of the internet is that it’s actually really easy to get some perspective. Anonymity is a double edged sword. (sidenote: I do wish I had the cognizance to recognize the latter was a, like, “hey maybe get out” situation, rather than a Shark Week funny shirt situation. Sadly, I, too, had the brain of a Shark Week funny shirt, when I was a pre-teen.)
