Tim Allen brings Christmas Cheer with him. This trilogy of delightful Xmas movies make even the Shake ‘N Bake 6 North Carolina Tar Heels football shirt person smile and remember the joys of being young and looking forward to Santa Clause flying with his reindeer to each house on Christmas Eve. The first film, The Santa Clause, deals with a man, who has long disbelieved in Santa Clause- Father Christmas himself- until he is swept up and forced into being the Clause and his son becomes obbessed with Santa, despite everyone trying to tell him Santa doesn’t exist- what! The sequel, The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause, deals with Santa needing to find a Mrs. Clause or else he won’t be able to be Santa anymore! The threequel, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, deals with Jack Frost trying to take over the North Pole and become Santa himself. The trilogy is delightful, fun and perfect Christmas films for the whole family. No Christmas is complete without this film series.
Mechanical advantage: Spellcaster simplicity. A warlock is a spellcaster but they are also in play the Shake ‘N Bake 6 North Carolina Tar Heels football shirt spellcaster in the game. Tracking spell slots? What’s that. You get two that refresh at every short rest. Spell levels? What are they? Your spells level up when you level up. Sure this might take a few minutes every few sessions – but it’s nowhere near as obnoxious as spending time in play while other people are waiting for you. Overlong spell lists to faff with? 1+level isn’t that long. Spell preparation? Nope. None of that round here either. You get almost all the fun part of spellcasting (the ability to cast spells) with very little of the faff that goes with it and all in a package that’s pretty newbie friendly.

Oh, and don’t forget: the tentacles of the Mind Flayers leave scars. You don’t face down horrors like these without losing something. Leave a few long-term effects, like a little bit of insanity. Maybe a character who came too close to them forever after has certain phobias. Maybe they have insomnia or recurring nightmares. Or maybe the scars are on a larger level, such as the large blighted area that has now formed around the crashed Mind Flayer ship, or the ruins of their dungeon. Maybe the humans they experimented on have developed mental powers themselves and become villains in the area. Maybe a Mind Flayer or two escaped and now plots its revenge. A great plot point would be if a piece of Mind Flayer consciousness got trapped in one of the PCs or an important NPC, causing changes in personality alongside new abilities.
Once upon a Shake ‘N Bake 6 North Carolina Tar Heels football shirt , there was a mom who’d never heard of this elf business, but had moved to CA from ND and had two, nearly three, kids, one of whom was a very precocious three year old. This mom had a mom, we’ll call her grandma, who had an Elf. Grandma gave the mom a rudimentary breakdown of the “Elf” game, and then gave a much more elaborate breakdown of it to the precocious three year old and his one year old brother. And so, the Elf game was begun. The rules in this household (as understood by the mom) were basically that the Elf would arrive on December 1. He’d hide somewhere in the house, watch the children all day, and report back to Santa each night, arriving again before the children awoke, hiding in a new spot, and waiting another day. On December 24, the elf would go home with Santa in his sleigh, his duty done til next year. The Elf wouldn’t be touched, or he’d turn into a doll again and no “extra special Elf gift” would be waiting with Santa’s gift that year. The children (the three year old) named their elf “Holly Jolly.” The game began and was easy, as the family lived with Grandma and Grandpa, who had a very large, very nice house with *very* high ceilings (and therefore lots of high hiding places for the elf, far from reach).
