I don’t think it’s crazy at all! A coin toss may have just been what you needed in that moment to help you make a decision you were ultimately going to make anyways. I feel like you are going to be discovering a TON of very cool things and I’m super excited for you.Let me ask, do you think your idea of happiness is actually yours? Is it just what you’ve been told happiness and success looks like? Is writing what you are most passionate about (I know for me it’s quite literally saved my life on several occasions)? Do you need to know what your future looks like today.
I think both Rip Dusty Hall vintage shirt are rewarding careers, whether you are freelance or full-time. UI design is a little more broad and fits under user experience, so you may have an easier time find clients like startups. But you’ll also have to compete with a lot of mediocre talent. 10 years ago this wasn’t the case. Now most designers are choosing to work in the UI design space. If you are really great at brand design and creative direction, that could be quite lucrative, but will likely take longer to get to a point where you are competitive with established talent. The problem with your question is that it sounds like money is the deciding factor. Between the two fields, I would say both have equal potential and it’s more about how you position yourself once you are at a senior level. More importantly, you should pick a niche that you are naturally good at and enjoy, not because someone is going to pay you a little more money when you are first starting your career. Enthusiasm with your work is worth more than a little extra money.

Now to our story. Due to the circumstances of our first Rip Dusty Hall vintage shirt, I knew from the beginning that she was one of the sharpest people I had ever met. I think smart and creative are sexy, so I was immediately attracted. And, although I know it’s superficial, smart and creative in a beautiful body was a knockout blow for me. She was also smitten with me, but because of our class differences, she thought I was just another “rich kid” who was looking for a good time. Although I’m not from a wealthy family, we were considerably better off, and she saw it very differently than I. As with most people, I was blinded by my relative privilege and didn’t see the chasm, or the problems it presented.
Your feelings are valid. I’m sorry you felt like Rip Dusty Hall vintage shirt. It’s not fun. With that being said, you’re also correct when you write that having zero expectations for hookups is probably the best policy. Things just don’t always go how you expect. Sometimes things go better than you expect but sometimes they’re worse as is the case here. Speaking for myself, I usually try and get a sense of what the other person is specifically looking for before even agreeing to see them. Sometimes I can tell they just want to get off and I’m ok with that because I also want that. Other times I can tell they’re looking for something more involved and we talk about what that means. It’s very important for both people to be on the same page about what’s going to happen otherwise people get hurt, disappointed, or worse.
