And so, they would wear down armies in such fashion, switching to exploit the weaknesses of their enemies.

It’s one of my favourite movies. I think it portrays Russians pretty accurately. They could have shifted this balance a little bit and make Valentine more cynical and Orlov more down and dirty. But, after all, the movie is made on behalf of Orlov, it’s his story, so…
