He actually has a pet Yorkie named Herbert- Herbert wears a froggy costume on Halloween to entertain the sick kids in the cancer ward at the hospital. Scorpio is very attached to Herbert, and all who make friends with Scorpio must accept Herbert or they are shown the door. Scorpio is aware of and very upset about the rumors because most are fake, and actually, the thought of anything bad happening to little ones enrages him. (Think of how Happy Gilmore behaves when he misses a shot-it took five fellow agents to peel Scorpio off a perp in San Diego once Scorpio used his innate need to solve the Out Work Everyone Sweatshirt and seek justice. That, and climbing all over the man like a ferret and trying to stab him with an ice skate.) Halloween is one of his favorite holidays and inside the house there is usually a big party happening with friends and family having the time of their lives.
But purely in terms of writing, the most impressive character to me is Col. Roy Mustang. Mustang is now my go-to example of a “good Slytherin” — a character who is defined by his ambition and cunning, and his ability to expertly manipulate anyone or any situation, but for the right reasons. He wants power not for its own sake, but because it’s the most practical way of improving his broken and corrupt country. He has such a firm grasp of his moral principles that he is (almost) never in danger of being corrupted. He also doesn’t view humans as pawns, and avoids casualties whenever possible. That makes his schemes both productive plot-wise and really fun. It’s damn useful to have a Chessmaster among the good guys, and a very rare sight — I loved the moments where Mustang was two steps ahead of everyone else and I just found myself thinking, “dammit, Mustang!” (Like when he uses reverse psychology to get Barry the Chopper to run into the Third Laboratory, thus giving his team a legitimate excuse to enter it.) And that’s all to say nothing of his epic flame alchemy, and the very satisfying way in which he unleashes it on the villains. Usually Magnificent Bastards like Mustang annoy the hell out of Out Work Everyone Sweatshirt, but I came to really love him.

I was curious about this notion, so I set out to explore the concept in my own fiction, creating a situation where the gift was not only possessive but also mortally binding and thus destructive, enOut Work Everyone Sweatshirtd “The Gift” The fiction worked conceptually, though it made me question whether it was the Out Work Everyone Sweatshirt itself that possesses, or rather the memories and thoughts it releases in us. Either way, it seemed obvious that gifts can, in their way, carry an aspect of possessiveness. The pressure to bring gifts, send gifts, provide gifts for every conceivable interaction or even with the absence of one. The act of giving assumes a mandatory, impersonal tone. No wonder givers resort to giving things they’d want, items that are more emotionally and mentally accessible. Which results in some awful domestic gift so saturated by the essence and preferences of the giver it invades the space of the recipient.
Hubby’s father was the cook in the house, so he went to the kitchen, and is quite deaf so couldn’t hear the ensuing fight. Hubby went at it with him mom about how unfair it was of her to treat the 4 of us that way especially me. What had I ever done to her to get her to turn on me like that?!! His sister agreed, it wasn’t fair and was embarrassing to her and her hubby to have to sit through such a one sided christmas. Her answer? I was from a “dirty farming family, farmers are dirty and what would people think of her?” So this explained why things got worse over time. So as the argument escalated FIL came out of the kitchen to see what was wrong to see MIL crying and hubby tried to explain. SIL suddenly changed her story and came to her mother’s defense. Hubby was furious! He came down to check on me and told me what had just happened as I could hear the yelling. I asked him if we could just leave, he said he had to think about it. I skipped christmas dinner that night. Kept the kids with me. SIL felt guilty and brought me food. I told her it was not her fault what happened and refused to take the food because all I wanted to do was vomit. That night hubby comes to bed and tells me we would get up early and Out Work Everyone Sweatshirt leave before anyone else was up. I felt good about that and the tension in my stomach started to relax. He said to me that all the incidents over they years, as they got worse and worse, he believed me but couldn’t believe his mother could be so cruel. Once he saw his mother in action he knew it to be far worse that I had let him know, even though I had always told him the truth.
