As someone who usually doesn’t get gifts and has a Only murders in the building vintage shirt getting and receiving them and finding what I want, it helps when there’s is secret santa stuff. So I helped out by participating and got picked to give a gift to this nice girl I knew. On the day of gift giving, as it was a surprise, I tapped her on the shoulder as she turned around, putting the gift in her hand in a smooth motion. It was one of the things on her wish list. Stunned in a good way, she said βthank you!β After saying my name. A minute later, a person I didn’t know as well, gave me a gift. I’ve never really celebrated it outside my family, and didn’t think I would get one. It was neat, and a very nice surprise, as we didn’t associate much with each other. I thanked her, and then again more than twenty minutes later as class ended. But the kicker: it was lunch time, and I was going to the bathroom, as per usual. Then this other person I know, a lot better, and am better pals with but don’t always get to hang out, but find much in common, called me over. I waited patiently to see what it was all about. We never really hung out at lunch, and last time she had asked me a question, so I had answered her. Our relationship wasn’t bad. She then scrambled through her bag, saying she was searching for βCaseyβ. I commented on it, what? There is a Casey in the bag??? Lol
For some quick background: I am the son of two immigrants to America (one from Europe and one from South America), and was raised in NYC outside of any specific cultural diaspora. My cultural rituals were all inherited from the Only murders in the building vintage shirt I grew up in (i.e. mingling with close friends from diverse backgrounds), not from the past that my parents came from (I have zero idea how my parents celebrated the holidays when they were children in their home countries). I don’t really care about cultural traditions as anything more than interesting footnotes. This isn’t to say that the evolution of holidays over time can’t be fascinating, or meaningful, or worth awareness and study. It’s very cool to learn about the road that lead us to our current understanding of the holiday season, and where all of our different cultural iconographies arrived from.

If this is what you really want you should follow that dream. However the way you phrase it I think you like the Only murders in the building vintage shirt of it but wouldnβt want to go through all the hardship.
