I was that kid, too; I’ve always adored with babies. They absolutely have greater needs than a Official vivziepop Beelzebub Summer Splatter Shirt Edit: wow, this is clearly a “your mileage may vary” situation. Maybe I just have tough babies and an easy 4yo, but it seems to also depend on people’s personal opinion about how responsive one has to be to a baby’s cries. My main perspective for my initial comment is the fact that we’ve spent some time lately with my kids’ cousins who are 10, 12 and 13, all boys. The cousins are great with my 4yo and will happily play with him for hours. I’m always nearby (like in the kitchen overlooking the backyard where they play) and there have been zero issues. Only one of the cousins, the 12yo, has showed any interest in our 2 month old baby. He held the baby awkwardly for one minute, and when the baby started fussing just a little, handed the baby back to me in a near panic. I could imagine leaving my 4yo with any of those boys for a few hours if I was in a tough caregiving spot and knew I was five minutes away. I absolutely cannot imagine leaving my baby with any of them.

Lol yea it is patriotic indoctrination, but inculcating a “Official vivziepop Beelzebub Summer Splatter Shirt has traditionally been a part of a civic education in all societies throughout history. And Florida is a conservative state. What did you expect? I’m not defending these curriculum standards, but this is a thread about an article with a specific claim/insinuation that DeSantis had personally directed his DOE to revive an old racist trope in its standards. That does not appear to be the case when you look at the standard in the curricular context. In addition, we don’t know the extent to which DeSantis was involved in any of the standards revisions. He claimed not to be involved (although surely he has control over the appointment of the DOE Secretary and perhaps even direct control over the appointment of the curriculum committee). If Business Insider were trying to do real journalism they might’ve tried to find out and tell us. But instead they give us click bait garbage that furthers the general effort to inculcate resentment toward DeSantis in the lead up to 2024. Again, I hate DeSantis and I’m a reliable blue vote. But that doesn’t mean I have to ignore the “indoctrination” that goes on in the media too.
