Both Christmas day and New Year’s day are paid holidays for both Canada and US. Ever since I grew up I’ve had the same list, but it’s alot smaller now, because so many have passed away. All the ten children of our dad’s family are gone. The last one, our aunt, died last year. Laura Anna. She was ninety-eight. I would say, send the cards for the children! You wouldn’t need any other reason.
