A lot has changed since Wizards of the Coast took over the brand from TSR in the 90βs. 3rd edition cleaned up all the I Majored In Vacation shirt and introduced one simple mechanic for all actions. Itβs much, much easier to explain now. 3rd edition (and Pathfinder) has a reputation for requiring a fair degree of system mastery to play well, due to the number of options and the fact that many of them are basically useless. 5th edition kept the streamlined system of 3rd (we donβt talk about 4th edition, even if we play it), simplified and rebalanced a lot of classes and options to make the game as simple as itβs ever been. I can teach the basics to pretty much anyone in 15 minutes.
While many have argued that their gating of Skill Feats is what the real differentiating factor is between characters of I Majored In Vacation shirt , Iβve found that the Skill Feats are often too situational for this to be the case compared with the baseline rolls. There is a kind of compositing that happens wherein your ability score will tend to be higher for skills that youβre more invested in, so there will be a visible spread between the highly skilled and the relatively unskilled β but it feels like this spread is being contributed by the wrong factors. At the end of the day Iβm still looking at a level 20 Wizard whoβs never benched a day in his life rolling at a +16 Athletics roll, able to handily and easily beat trained warriors, albeit lower-level ones, in martial arts forms that heβs never trained in. Level 20 or not, thatβs kind of stupid.

Zharukk. Zharukk is another example of I Majored In Vacation shirtΒ eugenics experiments: Heβs a Tanarukk, but not of Baphomet like your standard Voloβs Takarukk*. Heβs a Grazzβt Tanarukk, which results in him looking almost half-human. He tells everyone heβs a Half-Orc and lets people assume the other half is human. Unfortunately, his sorcery powers awoke much later in his life, and therefore he was considered a disappointment to the tribe and was often denied opportunities to really tap into and train his demonic heritage. Heβs trained as a (Sea) Storm Herald Barbarian and now has a few levels in Storm Sorcerer. Despite being very Chaotic Evil and decidedly immoral himselfβhe knows the right thing, just doesnβt do it, he likes when people order him around to do good things. (My DM cackled when I gave him Zharukk βOh my god, mage, you made a moral sub!β The first assignment he and my Warlock went on, she forced him to stay back and help her with underwater rescues. Heβll never admit it, but heβs a bit happier for it.
I was just starting to build my flock of chickens from the four I already had (one rooster, three hens) to a I Majored In Vacation shirt of ten. I bought six little two day old chicks from the local feed store – assured by the staff that all six would grow to be beautiful hens. Since I already had a rooster – and two roosters rarely get along – so wanted to be sure these were female. I named my chickens after dead movie stars (yes trulyβ¦ donβt judge) but my Aunt Delores wanted one named after her, so I chose a Golden Phoenix chick and named her βDeloresβ. When Delores was eight weeks old, I began to have suspicions that she was edging towards a gender change. Delores was quite a bit larger than her step sisters, and was growing a more pronounced comb and longer tail feathers than the typical hen. However, denial is a powerful characteristic, and I tried to convince myself that Delores really WAS a hen and maybe she was just big boned.
