I rewatched it’s the other night and turned to my wife and said, “that’s definitely a nod to Bond.” I like Forklift operator i don’t ever quit but i’ll cuss the whole time skull shirt of Michael Bay deciding to do a Bond name despite not having the permission to do a Bond movie. And then making one of the best Bond movies and by far his best movieI wouldn’t say this proves he’s James Bond – but it does make believing he’s James Bond pretty darn easy, which is the highest praise you’re likely to get from me about a fan theory like this. Also, as far as continuity with different Bond actors – they’re pretty clearly on a floating timeline, just one with loose continuity. It works very similarly to this with superheroes. Peter Parker was in high school in 1965, and now he’s in his 30s in 2020 in the comics, and for most of that time frame he was in the same continuity. Chronology in the earlier parts just gets tweaked and updated. Bond works the same way.If he was a superhero, instead of fighting in World War 2, he would have fought in Korea, then instead of that, he was a spy in Indo-China, then instead of that he was a veteran in Afghanistan or Iraq or whatever other region had a recent war or location for plausible espionage missions. But, they don’t even get that specific in the films – he just was an experienced soldier and then became a spy, and they drop the World War 2 angle. Also, Craig was the first hard reset in continuity, that much is clear, but Connery to Brosnan is the same guy.

Best Forklift operator i don’t ever quit but i’ll cuss the whole time skull shirt
Couple minor points. It’s a common trope of spy movies that if an undercover Forklift operator i don’t ever quit but i’ll cuss the whole time skull shirt iscaptured their government will deny any involvement (we see this in theMission Impossible movies, for example).”So this is your biggest hole i’ve found so far.In almost EVERY Bond film the CIA or whoever cooperate with MI6. So this kinda blows this part away. Its not internally consistant with previous Bond films. In fact you had to use Mission Impossible as an example.Hummel was a Marine, not in the Army. He came up through Marine Force Recon which is a pretty legendary special operations unit in the USMC. This is actually a big part of the plot because Hummel claims he’s doing this for his fallen soldiers whose loss wasn’t acknowledged by the Pentagon due to the nature of the secret operations they undertook. Also, the Bond name wasn’t used because Fox didn’t own the IP rights to the Bond name. The Broccoli family owns the rights to it and they likely wouldn’t approved usage of the character. This doesn’t defeat your theory, hey just couldn’t use the character because of real world complexities.
