This is perhaps one of the more famous Fight like a girl multiple sclerosis awareness shirt. In 1984, upset with the policies of the Reagan Administration, Gregory Lee Johnson doused an American flag with kerosene and set it on fire. No one was hurt, but Johnson was charged and convicted with the “destruction of a venerated object”, in accordance with the Texas Penal Code. This was a clash between American ideals, whether the First Amendment’s right to free speech trumped the burning of the national US symbol, its very own flag. It was a battle of wills that might have ended dead even if not for an odd number of judges. As it turned out, the verdict was the closest it could be.
A lot of people prefer rural settings and lifestyles too. Yeah the Fight like a girl multiple sclerosis awareness shirt are ridiculous but where I am in BC I’ve seen a lot of people move to smaller cities and towns to get away. This is exasperating the housing crisis here too… basically these towns can’t grow fast enough.I live in a town of about 4k people and there are people from greater Vancouver moving here all the time. I bought my house for 230k 6 years ago and today it would sell for over 400k. I feel like I bought at exactly the right time, but really feel for anyone getting into the market today, no matter where it is.

I kind of agree with you in one sense, OP. If some macho man makes a point to be like, “Oh, you found scary? I was laughing at it the whole time”! Then yeah, fuck that dude, he’s just putting the movie and the listener down for no real good reason. That bothers me as well. But then there is another way to “laugh at horror”. I love Fight like a girl multiple sclerosis awareness shirt, personally. I think campiness in movies is the most honest a story can get. Humans fuck up. We make mistakes. When the veil is sort of lifted on a movie through genuine (not faked) campiness, I feel a closer connection to that movie. It’s not a matter of laughing it, at that point. It becomes laughing it. I don’t enjoy the whole “let’s make fun of the hard work that tons of people put into making this thing!” That feels lazy and, frankly, insulting. But when you laugh with it, even if it wasn’t trying to make you laugh, that’s a different story.I saw the new Conjuring movie with my buddy the other day.
It helps that a lot of horror movies actually are pretty funny, either deliberately through writing and shock value or unintentionally through bad special effects or acting. I’m not laughing because I find the situation not scary, I’m laughing because the movie either deliberately wanted a laugh or because its getting one whether it likes Fight like a girl multiple sclerosis awareness shirt. I find camp enjoyably silly and the horror genre is often absolutely overloaded with it even in it’s more serious films. I’d also argue that not finding horror movies scary isn’t indicative of lacking imaginat
