I don’t know about the USA, but here in India, $12,500 would he equivalent to paying off the remaining education debt rn plus Cowboy hat with boots.Cactus T-Shirtleast half of my future college fee. That’s a lot of money. That’s my mom’s 3 year income before covid, probably 4-5 in covid times. Just realised while scrolling, my mom’s monthly income dropped to as low as a hundred and 25 dollars a month at one point when the covid hit the hardest. 12,500 dollars will be luxurious, no jokes. It would turn my life upside down. My dad is 1 year unemployed from covid and probably never going to work again. I have to work 2 jobs ( an office job and a freelance graphic design) so I’m very very stressed out that it’s taking a toll on my health. I could pay a lot of medical exams I need. Help my parents with their debt. Buy a very good pc to continue progress on my design dream.

Right now me and my disabled partner desperately need to move back to New Mexico for a multitude of reasons.Cowboy hat with boots.Cactus T-Shirt know that with just $1000 we could get there and have a hotel for a couple weeks while I job hunt (my resume always nets me a job within a week or 2). But after that it’d be really tough to work while couch surfing and saving up for an apartment through 2 paychecks, so to move realistically and have a hotel for a little over a month, we’d need about $2000. To move comfortably, not be worried about food, and with the ability to settle up bills before leaving, $3000. would be enough to move, get my old van maintenanced/replaced when the long trip inevitably wears it down, get the furniture/appliances we sorely need, and give me the time to actually be discerning about the job I accept rather than just snapping up the first thing that comes my way. We’d be able to go to urgent care clinics and get our meds replaced as needed instead of waiting for Medicare to come through and long waitlists for the local low income clinic. We’d be able to afford basic life things like toilet paper for fucks sake…
