Little over a 2 hour flight, and baby was not a happy camper, cried the whole time. The only person who had a problem, was some jerk a row back, who fussed the whole flight about the baby. When we landed, just before every one stood up to leave, an older gentleman walked back to the guy being a jerk, and told him to stay in his seat until the mom and baby left the plane, or he’d be limping off the plane. I found out later who the gentleman was, but at that moment, “ he spoke with authority “. The jerk sat still, some others helped mom and baby leave. I caught up with the gentleman later at the airport bar, found out he was a former U.S. Marine Major, who had just left the service. I asked him if he was concerned if the guy had started something, and the Major said he don’t sweat small shit. The Major said he had talked to the mom before the flight, and her husband was supposed to meet them in Sacramento, him just getting home on leave. The Major said don’t anybody mess with a military wife going home, not on his watch.
