Personal playstyle preference: Lots of cantrips, lots of rituals. When playing a spellcaster in a 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champions Las Vegas Aces Team Shirt with a lot of magic (like D&D) I like there to be a lot of things I can just do. No resources, just do almost without thinking about it. Also the Celestial Warlock/Pact of the Tome lets me put off Eldritch/Agonizing Blast until level 11 (or 12 in practice) – see below.

When we start hitting Adult Dragons, though, it’s a problem. Most PCs can’t keep up with the 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champions Las Vegas Aces Team Shirt at all. A PC must be able to fly and cover 120′ in a turn to even keep up with the dragon and attack it, meaning melee is not going to be very helpful. Archers are what are effective. A Fighter *might* be able to solo an adult dragon, if he’s level 11 and geared to the gills and prepped properly. They might be able to burst it down in a round or three, and can survive a couple of rounds of Legendary actions and breath. Probably. Higher level makes it easier, and a level 20 fighter can probably easily dispatch an adult dragon in one round, which is important because if he doesn’t catch the dragon in 1 round it could just kite him flying around waiting for his breath to recharge. Fighter would need to be decked out with flying gear — an Eagle Whistle would help catch up to the flying dragon and shoot it down.

The Elf wouldn’t be touched, or he’d turn into a doll again and no “extra special Elf gift” would be waiting with Santa’s gift that year. The children (the three year old) named their elf “Holly Jolly.” The game began and was easy, as the family lived with Grandma and Grandpa, who had a very large, very nice house with *very* high ceilings (and therefore lots of high hiding places for the elf, far from reach).
