In The Fight Sabaton Rock Band shirt
This came with a lot of other stat modifiers as well, of course. We decided that such a In The Fight Sabaton Rock Band shirt would still be pretty strong, but not 19 strength strong, so we downgraded that. We figured that it would definitely have higher than 6 dex, considering that it had hated being clumsy, so we gave it above-average dex. There were other adjustments that were made as well, but most of those were minor. Weβd decided that our fancy magical-equivalent-of-bionic ancient Awakened Tree had upgraded / downgraded from the traditional slam attack (Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: (3d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.) to a more focused piercing lance type attack; it had converted its own limbs into stabbing implements, because thatβs quieter than hitting people with entire tree branches. It did considerably less damage but could be used for sneak attacks. Speed was upgraded from 20ft to 40ft because of course it would be. An 8ft tall wooden assassin wouldnβt be very good at its job if it wasnβt able to move scary quick when needed, now would it?
RP advantage: Inherently complex characters. There are few classes I find more boring RP wise than clerics and paladins – not because they are godbotherers but because they are expected to fully commit to their deity to get their powers. The Cleric of Deity X is expected to fully commit to the In The Fight Sabaton Rock Band shirt of Deity X and behave in a relatively straightforward way. As is the Paladin of Ideal Y to uphold Ideal Y (and if they strayed too far in earlier editions they might fall, leading to the notorious βEveryone out in the courtyard and weβll see who can no longer Lay on Handsβ means of detecting fallen paladins). Meanwhile your average Fiend-pact warlock doesnβt actually want the world overrun by demons and your average Great Old One warlock doesnβt even understand the motives of their patrons. A character who isnβt aligned with their patron god but still gets power from them and respects them is inherently to me far more interesting than one who is and although I can do this with an orthodox cleric or paladin playing a celestial warlock (or a warlock in general) feels different and communicates to everyone that I am doing this.

Make your NPCs useful. Skalacon is very useful because he is, in a In The Fight Sabaton Rock Band shirt , a benefactor to the player characters. Being the Curator of Magic, he buys magic items from the players β he gives them money or gems in exchange. He trades magic items with them. One item the players decided to part with, won them a small stone keep just outside of town. The players earned a home of their own. Thank you, Skalacon. Now, letβs count them up: he is powerful, has status, and itβs beneficial to remain friends for his arcane dealings. Thatβs 3 things to his credit. I don’t have to worry about Skalacon getting beaten or killed by player character murder hobos. See?
When Delores spent his first night actually out with the other chickens in the In The Fight Sabaton Rock Band shirt, I was anxious about how he would handle himself, as he was pretty shy. After a few false starts (and getting pushed off perches by the other chickens) he chose a walnut branch that lead to the night perches and slept on that. When Delores became a big, beautiful Golden Phoenix adult rooster, I thought the hens would probably make absolute fools of themselves trying to get his attention – and if he ignored them it would serve them right! I suppose I should have done something about the name – but Delores responded to “Delores” and appeared fine with it. (Also, my Aunt Delores would have been devastated if I changed his name.) A friend suggested calling him “Del” – which sort of made sense – but that sounded like he was lead singer in a retro 60’s band. As long as Delores didnβt mind – and letβs face it, he didnβt care – I was perfectly content to have a sweet rooster named Delores.
