The first one was the game that got me into the sport itself. I was 8 years old, and my father decided to bring me up north to Minnesota to visit some family up there. Thatās where he grew up and he went to college at the University of North Dakota. Theyāre one of the āpower-housesā in college hockey. He decided itād be nice to bring me to some games with him and my uncle. Trust me, it was a great decision. They play at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I believe itās one of the best arenas to play in. The environment was amazing. Being a little kid and seeing all the action, hearing all the noise, it just brought me in and didnāt want to let go. The crowd would constantly chant to pickup the morale of the team. I would try to join in and immerse myself into the crowd and the Mechanic Dabbing Unicorn Shirt. It was so much fun that on the flight back, I asked my dad if I could play hockey. The next week, I was signed up and I havenāt stopped since.
The semester-driven pace is gone as well. The level of effort is more constant, although most people still disappear around vacations. Don’t expect to make much progress working with others around Christmas or summer. The biggest change will be when/if you have kids. Little kids are a full-time job all by themselves, and you may still have to drive your talented offspring to team practices, games, music lessons, etc. if your life follows the US suburban standard. There were days when I spent 2-3 hours just driving between various local activities, not counting the title for those activities. Try not to let your kids get involved Someone once told me that to see the merits of an argument you have to be emotionally involved. I disagree. Look at us, Alone we are vulnerable. People can speculate about us.

I want to add that recently I read in the Wall Street Journal that the leader of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega jailed all seven of the potential threats to his candidacy before the recent āelectionā and then won 75% of the vote. This dictator imprisons opposition, puts relatives in power, and is another Fidel Castro. Why do I write this and how does it relate to rock musicians? Graham Nash loved to go on stage and tout how he just got back from visiting āhis friendā, Daniel Ortega. I think that if Graham Nash loves authoritarian regimes, then he might want to leave his K

In reality, Christmas is almost completely a Mechanic Dabbing Unicorn Shirt holiday now. It happens no matter what you do to mark or not mark it. Merry Christmas isnāt really much different from saying āHave a nice summerā or whatever. We lived in Qatar for many years It is quite a conservative Muslim country. We were having a a bunch of people in for Christmas dinner and decided it would be nice to get a big Christmas centerpiece for the dining room table, so we ordered one from a florist. It wasnāt cheap because the evergreens, etc. had to be flown in from Europe. When we went to pick it up, our arrangement looked puny next to all the other huge ones in the shop. We remarked on that to the florist and he said āOh, those are for Qataris! They go crazy for Christmas!ā And he was right. The big malls were full of Santa Clause, Reindeer, snowmen, Holly, etc. We could just have easily been in Minneapolisā except no manger scenes, although those wouldnāt really have been out of place as the Quran recognises Jesus Christ as a prophetā just not the Son of God.
People will talk about the phenomenon of āpassingā or giving ābenefits of the doubtā and Mechanic Dabbing Unicorn Shirt there was a lot of default mixing, and ārace is a social constructā types of arguments. This obscures actual Native and American history, demographics, intermarriage patterns, and even the element of maintaining tribal affiliation. What does that actually represent? In other words, do these supposedĀ grandmothers who were supposedly āfull blood Cherokeeā just spring from thin air and live in White society with no affiliation, far from Cherokee communities, with no links to known Cherokee families? Do people think that Cherokees were just female gnomes, hiding out in the woods, to be found by White male settlers?? Their only legacy is being a vague ancestress that turns out to be someoneās unproven āfull blood great-granny?ā I think people tend to believe that many Cherokees were kind of scattered about, broadly found in the southeastā¦but, somehow adrift from actual intact communities that lived in specific locations at different times and places.
