Sadly she passed away a few years ago from breast cancer. I met her in 2000 when I was homeless. She Cat Today I am wearing a lovely shade of I slept like crap so dont piss me off Fibromyalgia Awareness shirt sleep on her couch at her farm in Pennsylvania. She was a good person, kind-hearted, loved animals. She had a dozen dogs and a fondness for big German Shepards and Great Danes, as well as a few Pitbulls. All of them thought they were lap dogs. She lived in a house with a wrap around stone veranda that went around three sides of the house. We used to sit out on that veranda until the wee hours of the morning, sipping coffee or sometimes wine, watching the horses and dogs arguing over which the small pond belonged to, or watching for the owls that lived in the top of her barn. Rather amazing to see a Great Horned Owl swoop down silently at night and carry off a full sized rabbit. She introduced me to a shaman who helped me find my way again and regain my balance, and begin the long journey from being homeless to being self-sufficient again.

What wonderful memories! Sounds like she lived a life in balance, and she had created her own heaven on earth. I envy her, and Cat Today I am wearing a lovely shade of I slept like crap so dont piss me off Fibromyalgia Awareness shirt . Thank you for sharing. Reminds me of our own horses when I was a kid, you could always find them happily snacking away under the wild apple trees in our field. Not quite as amazing as your story, not even close, but a nice memory nonetheless. Enjoy your memories, even during such a hard, dark time for you, what a wonderful experience you had! Very cathartic. Try to never forget to pause to reconnect with the world every day – watching life beyond our human world reminds us of our sense of place.
