I work at a mom and pop shop. For his grocery section that he has he just buys it from the grocery store and has to mark it up. He can’t order from a vendor for 6 ketchup bottles, 3 packs of Ramen, 2 mayo bottles. So instead of the $2.69 you pay at a grocery store you pay $3.79 for it. Sorry but there’s a reason I don’t shop there. Idc if he’s white or black if he can’t compete with other prices I’m not gunna support you.

Think about it this way, though. The money you spend locally has a better chance of staying local. If you buy from Amazon, that money goes right into a big pile of money in California or wherever, but if you buy from a local Mom&Pop, and they spend it locally, the odds of some of that money making its way back into your pocket goes up exponentially. It goes toward local taxes; it puts gas in local firetrucks; it improves local schools.
